World Health Organization CBD “is not likely to be abused”.

The World Health Organization (WHO), which is an agency of the United Nations (UN), and looked to as the navigator for many health organizations worldwide, has endorsed a recommendation from the Expert Committee on Drug Dependence (ECDD) that cannabidiol (CBD) based on the current information does not justify scheduling and says that it has “some therapeutic value for seizures due to epilepsy and related conditions” and that CBD “is not likely to be abused or create dependency”.

A final decision will come in May when they hold a “Special Session on Cannabis” given by the ECDD when they will review “cannabis and cannabis related substances”.
